Magnolia Beach is one of our favorite free boondock camping spots on the Texas coast.
This year we celebrated Pepper’s 20th birthday at the beach.

We spent David’s birthday relaxing at White Fling Park on Lake Belton. The camps were clean and came with water and electric hookups close to the water. It is a US Army Core of Engineers Park. Not bad at all for $20/night.
We really enjoyed discovering the Wacom Mammoth Monument and camping at Lake Belton.

This is a FREE camp-site.
There are 6 primitive camp-sites at Walling Bend Park.
They do not take reservations and the sites are first come first serve. Every time we’ve been there EVEN on busy weekends late in the day, or late in the weekend, we have had no trouble finding a spot for our large rig.
From Kat (Christa): I would like to admit that I was very afraid to get behind the wheel of our gigantic, 40 foot long, bus. On May 18, 2018, on our way home from the Texas coast, I decided to give it a try.
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend camping with family on the Frio River in Concan, Texas. We went hiking, swimming, tubing, had a great time with family. It was truly wonderful and we are looking forward to our next trip.

We’ve falling in love with the breathtaking RV beaches, made from mostly crushed shells, in Magnolia, Texas. Free camping, with minimal accommodations – no hookups, not dump site, no showers, just a few garbage receptacles and a spectacular view of the ocean. Not bad at all, especially considering the price.
